At the same time, all the rural poor under the current standards are lifted out of poverty.

　　As of the end of 2020, China's carbon intensity has been reduced by about 48.4% compared with 2005, exceeding the 2020 climate action target.

At the same time, all rural poor people have been lifted out of poverty (under current standards), and the per capita GDP has reached 10,000 US dollars.

The coordinated development of economic, social environment and climate action has basically been realized.

However, we must also be soberly aware that my country's heavy industrial structure, coal energy structure, low energy efficiency, and weak technological innovation capabilities, there is still much room and potential for improvement.

This also means that China has embarked on a new journey of low-carbon development.

How should China promote low-carbon development in the next step?

Su Wei, deputy secretary-general of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, said that to embark on a new journey on the "carbon" road, China needs to make efforts in many ways.
