H.I.S., a major travel agency, announced on the 11th that the financial results for the six months to April were a deficit of 23.2 billion yen for the entire group.

The reason is that travel demand continues to decline both in Japan and overseas due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

The final deficit in the interim results is the second consecutive year, and the amount of the deficit is the largest since the stock was listed in 2002.

The earnings forecast for the year ending October is undecided because it is not possible to predict when the demand for overseas travel, which is our mainstay, will recover.
