Germany announced the need to find solutions for Nord Stream 2

This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by the political director of the German Foreign Ministry Jens Plötner.

“The decision of the US administration to suspend some of the sanctions against Nord Stream 2 was important.

We now have the opportunity, in partnership with all project participants, to begin looking for solutions that would allay the concerns associated with it.

Among those is the issue of gas transit through the territory of Ukraine, ”he said.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas earlier greeted the US administration's position on the temporary exclusion of Nord Stream 2 AG from the sanctions package and called Washington's decision encouraging.
