In an attempt to study a new logistics system using drones, a demonstration experiment was conducted in which freshly made beef bowls were placed on the drone and carried to a building about 5 km away.

This demonstration experiment was conducted jointly by a venture company in Tokyo that designs drones and the Yoshinoya beef bowl chain.

In the experiment, a beef bowl cooked in a kitchen car parked in a park is placed on a drone, passed over the sea, and carried to the rooftop of a hospital about 5 km away.

The drone was designed to be stowed in the fuselage for stable food delivery and arrived on the roof of the hospital in about 15 minutes.

The gyudon that was carried did not lose its ingredients, and the nurse immediately tasted it for lunch.

Yasutaka Kawamura, president of the beef bowl chain, said, "I think that carrying by drone will reduce costs and delivery time and make delivery even more convenient."

The venture company that conducted the experiment hopes to further verify the operability of the drone and lead to the development of new logistics such as home delivery of eating out and transportation of medicines.

Keisuke Taji, CEO of the venture company Aeronext, said, "If we can carry delicate foods in a stable manner, we can carry everything. We would like to verify that a series of operations such as loading can be done more efficiently." I will.
