In order to guide the public to practice green and low-carbon production and lifestyles, and to promote the formation of a national action system that everyone cares about, supports, and participates in ecological and environmental protection, the Eco-Environmental Culture Week will focus on the achievements of Beijing’s ecological and environmental protection from June 1st to 7th. 17 online and offline public participation activities were launched on themes such as green and low-carbon life and climate change.
At the opening ceremony of the Eco-Environmental Culture Week, 22 units including Bishui Water Reclamation Plant in Tongzhou District of Beijing were recognized as the fourth batch of national environmental protection facilities opening units, and 8 units including Beijing Expo Park were recognized as the fifth batch of Beijing’s ecological environment education base.
Up to now, the number of open units for environmental protection facilities in Beijing has increased to 63, and the number of eco-environmental education bases has increased to 60.
During the Ecological Environment Culture Week, the city's environmental protection facilities opening units and ecological environment education bases will be opened to the public in an online or offline manner based on local conditions.
