The Government has a
few hours to convince the social agents
or it must convene an extraordinary Council of Ministers to give continuity to the aid scheme for workers and companies affected by the crisis derived from Covid as of June 1. Businessmen and unions have rejected the proposal that the Minister of Social Security,

. There are six days left for the current scheme to expire and the negotiation will try to redirect itself to reach a pact that can be approved either today or next Friday in the Council of Ministers.
The person in charge of Social Security is the one who monopolizes all the attention, since the Minister of Labor,
Yolanda Díaz
, has declared for days that her negotiating task is already finished.
Labor has carried out the commitment to maintain employment (the most problematic clause);
the provision at 70% of the regulatory base;
the counter to zero in the period of benefits and the inclusion of discontinuous permanent workers in the aid scheme.
Escrivá has not reached that point and, late yesterday, seemed far from reaching it, although he was willing to continue the negotiations to reach today's Council of Ministers in time, even with an announcement.
The message received by the social agents regarding the negotiating intention of the person in charge of Social Security is very different.
Escrivá sent to the meeting yesterday to the number three of the Ministry
, the head of the Social Security Treasury, an interlocutor that the social agents interpreted as a sign that the minister's position is invariable. It is this manifestation of not making concessions that has enlisted companies and unions:
"If the Government wants to go alone in the new ERTE, let it go alone,"

Escrivá insists on
reducing the exemptions
for companies that remain in ERTE but unions and employers respond that it is still early, in his opinion, for a withdrawal of aid, even if it is gradual. His counter offer is to face this debate in September, last summer, with the most established economic recovery. The Government, which has declared its intention to approve the plan, even without the support of the parties, has not agreed and the social agents accept the bid. "If it is not an extension of the current scheme, the Government will have to do it alone", have indicated sources of both the representatives of the workers and the employers.

if the disagreement has any cost for companies and workers
