"Flydubai" confirmed that it is in a good position to support the emirate’s efforts to maintain its position, one of the safest travel destinations in the world, to travel to in 2021, revealing that its network of destinations will increase to more than 80 international stations during the summer.

In turn, the Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, Hamad Obaidullah, said that “the company was very flexible in responding to the changing travel restrictions,” indicating that “flydubai” was able to re-deploy its fleet in new markets, in addition to increasing the number of flights. To existing markets, in line with the directives of the relevant authorities.

Obaidullah added, "We are looking forward to seeing more people traveling during the summer, with expectations that restrictions on international travel will be eased in many countries of the world." And more markets will open over the next few weeks.

He continued, "The return of our Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will enable it to serve passengers and operate in more medium-distance markets over the next few months."

He explained that «the company launched its operations to 12 destinations in Russia, and four seasonal summer destinations», revealing that «flydubai» plans to continue expanding its network, with the addition of more destinations in Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Southeast Asia during the next few months.

Common network

The shared network of "Emirates Airlines" and "flydubai" is expected to cover 168 destinations by the end of this May, providing customers with more options for comfortable, easy and smooth travel.

Since the reactivation of their strategic partnership, based on code sharing, in early September 2020, about 500,000 customers have traveled on the shared network between "Emirates Airlines" and "flydubai".

Top destinations booked through a codeshare agreement include: Kabul, Kathmandu, Kiev, Maldives, and Zanzibar.
