The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has attended the 43rd UGT congress in Valencia with the commitment to create one million jobs for young people over the next three years. Sánchez has advanced that this plan will be based on training funds for the Autonomous Communities, which will have 600 million euros to finance training contracts that provide employment and training opportunities for young people under 30 years of age; Also, another 765 million will be invested in three programs dedicated to youth employment.
Spain is the country that leads in Europe in youth unemployment, with about 40% of workers under 30 years of age unemployed.
The president has indicated that the implementation of his plans is imminent, calling on the UGT affiliates gathered in Valencia to keep the left united.
"If I were a member, you would have my vote," he told the UGT general secretary, Pepe Álvarez, who will reissue his union leadership in this Congress.
