For several years, a trend has been on the rise: Restomods, old cars modified with modern mechanical components, in order to make them more efficient or more usable.

This is what Opel did with the Manta GSe.

The German manufacturer took a Manta coupe from the 70s and added the electrical mechanics of a Corsa-E to it.

Developing 147 hp and 255 Nm of torque, it takes the car over a distance of +/- 200 km thanks to its battery with a capacity of 31 kWh.

Equipped with a manual gearbox, the GSe can also be automatic, as desired.

Its original front face has been modified to receive the Vizor, the brand's new stylistic signature, which is in fact the reinterpretation of the original face of the Manta.

Placed on 17-inch rims, the Manta also sees its interior evolve with digital instrumentation among others.

Unfortunately, not even small series production does not seem to be the order of the day.
