Once again, Mohammed Deif escaped death.
After imposing a multi-day censorship, the IDF admitted that brigade leader Ezzedine al-Qassam, the armed wing of Hamas, escaped two assassination attempts last week.
For more than twenty years, Israel has tried to eliminate it seven times.
The last attempt dates back to 2014 when he barely escaped an Israeli raid alive when
his wife and two of his children were killed
.
According to Israeli sources, he would not have escaped unscathed and would have lost a leg, an eye and an arm during all these repeated attacks.
Since then, he has survived in total hiding.
Enemy number one
But earlier this month, he came out of his silence to proclaim that Israel was "going to
pay a heavy price
" for the clashes in Jerusalem.
All Israeli commentators believe that if he comes out again, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not be able, until a ceasefire occurs, to proudly announce to his public opinion the elimination of enemy number. one of Israel as he fervently wishes.
