D-1 for the reopening of shopping centers of more than 2000m2.

At Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, the teams are ready, with a renovated dome, automatic counting at the entrance and promotional offers to bring back customers that the click & collect was not enough to compensate.

INTERVIEW

From Wednesday, shopping centers of more than 2,000 m² will once again be able to welcome the public. Since January 31, only food stores have been authorized to open in these supermarkets. Alexandre Liot, director of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, said on Europe 1 Tuesday to feel "a real expectation of customers" for the resumption of consumption. Because even if the confinement allowed the group to accelerate on the digital, the click and collect was not enough to compensate for the drop in purchases. For this reopening, the director therefore hopes "a lot of people" like the last two deconfinements. And the Galleries will reopen with the "3J".

"We are used to managing these flows," he says.

The department store has provided "security guards" at the doors as well as "automatic counting", which will allow the main store to have "3,800 people at time T", much less than usual.

Which, says Alexandre Liot, has the advantage of "making the store more pleasant!"
