Sharpidin Yasheng is a villager in Nanhu Village, Toksun County. He grows nearly 10 acres of apricots. Four years ago, he saw many merchants from all over the country come to them to buy apricots, and he also started to buy apricots.
Now he buys about 20 tons of apricots every year, mainly to Gansu Province, and Xinjiang Urumqi, Hami, Korla and other places. The net income of only purchasing apricots can be more than 20,000 yuan every year.

Like Charpitin Yasheng, many local villagers not only planted apricots, but also started a business of buying them, so that the local apricots were continuously sold all over the country.
At present, Tuokexun County has more than 100,000 mu of apricot trees, and the resulting area is more than 60,000 mu. There are 13 varieties such as Suletan, Xiaobai Apricot, Fengyuanhong, Kate Apricot, and Golden Sun.

In 2020, the county’s apricot output value reached 160 million yuan. It is one of the country’s terrestrial cultivated apricots in the earliest ripening period, the best fresh food, and the most distinctive apricot producing areas. In particular, the early-maturing Sultan apricot has become Toksun The county’s beautiful business cards sell well in major cities across the country.
Tuokexun County is rich in heat resources, the annual effective accumulated temperature is 6,400 degrees, and the annual sunshine is more than 3233 hours.
Unique geographical and climatic resources, convenient transportation conditions, etc., make Tuokexun County very suitable for the development of large-scale, commercial, cultural and tourism integration of early ripening apricots.
The apricot blossoms in Tuokexun County are in full bloom in mid-March every year, which is the “earliest spring” in Xinjiang. The apricots gradually mature in early May.
