Regarding the vaccination of the new coronavirus, there is a growing movement among companies to introduce a so-called "vaccine leave" system that allows employees to take leave when inoculating.

Of these, Mitsubishi Electric has established a new leave system for all approximately 43,000 employees, including employees and contract employees.

Employees who wish to receive vaccination can take half-day or full-day paid leave on weekdays in addition to the conventional paid leave, so that they can take a rest even if there is a side reaction.

Meiji Yasuda Life and Sumitomo Life have also made it possible to take leave in the event of vaccination or side reactions.

In addition, Softbank and Mercari also allow employees to be vaccinated during working hours so that they can take leave if there is a side reaction or if they need to be accompanied by a family member.

Regarding vaccine leave, the Minister for Regulatory Reform Kono has requested Keidanren to consider introducing it, and there is a growing movement among companies to improve the environment in which workers can easily inoculate by reviewing the leave system.
