Amazon creates 10 thousand jobs in Britain

The giant Amazon group in the field of e-commerce announced that it will create more than 10 thousand jobs in Britain, the day after the launch of a recruitment campaign in the United States in parallel with the surge in demand for electronic shopping during the pandemic.

The expansion, which equals a fifth of Amazon's workforce in Britain, will bring the total number of its employees in that country to more than 55,000 by the end of the year.

The announcement comes a day after Amazon unveiled plans to add 75,000 jobs in the United States and Canada.

"We are creating thousands of quality jobs across the UK from a wide range of roles, with excellent salaries and benefits," said Amazon Director for Britain John Pompey in a statement.
