In the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Tokyo, where the third state of emergency was extended, people who used restaurants during the week up to the 9th increased their daytime use during the Golden Week holidays. As a result, a private survey has been completed that shows an increase of nearly 4% from the previous week.

Toreta, an IT company in Tokyo that provides reservation and customer management systems to restaurants, is investigating the number of customers visiting about 3,000 stores in one of the three prefectures in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

According to this, the number of customers visiting the store during the week up to the 9th decreased by 7.9% from the average of the period when the second state of emergency was issued, but increased by 3.9% from the previous week.

By time of day,

▽ "5 pm to 8 pm" was almost flat, but

▽ "11 am to 3 pm" was 8.3%

▽ "3 pm to 5 pm" was 14.8%

Each increased, and daytime usage increased due to the influence of the long holidays.

According to the company surveyed, "The rate of increase in the number of customers visiting stores is higher in Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa than in Tokyo, where a state of emergency has been declared."
