Etihad Airways provides home check-in service

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced a partnership with Dubz, a subsidiary of dnata, the first company specialized in providing off-airport solutions in the region, which allows travelers to reserve their luggage, choose their seats, and receive boarding passes and luggage tags from home in Abu Dhabi.

Coronavirus screening can also be arranged by the airline's medical partner, LifeDX.

To book and use the service, guests are kindly requested to visit the Etihad website etihad.com seven hours before the flight.

The check-in staff will arrive at the reserved location within the specified time between eight in the morning and eight in the evening, as the employee will check travel documents, complete travel procedures and receive bags, and it is also possible to choose seats at the same time and buy additional weight, if any.

The service provides priority boarding, early collection of their luggage, and priority baggage claim service, for an additional fee.

After arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport, all passengers - except for transit passengers - who have booked the service will be able to avoid queuing, which gives them a smooth travel experience at the airport, bearing in mind that guests must collect the luggage from the luggage by themselves upon arrival at the destination.

“Etihad Airways is always looking for innovative ways to enhance the travel experience, and this initiative contributes to providing guests with more comfortable travel options,” said Martin Drew, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Cargo, Etihad Airways.

"Completing travel procedures from home helps reduce closeness at the airport, especially during the Corona pandemic, as guests will be able to go directly to the immigration gates and avoid standing in line at the airport."

Omar Abu Farag, CEO of Dobz, a subsidiary of dnata, said: “We are pleased to partner with Etihad Airways to provide travelers with our popular travel services from home in Abu Dhabi, which will of course contribute to providing peace of mind for Etihad guests and helping them enjoy a safe travel experience. And series during and after the pandemic. "

Corona examination is also available from home when any of the home travel completion packages are quarantined, as the LifeDX nurse will conduct the examination, and the results will be sent by email and SMS within a period ranging from 24 to 48 hours.

Home check-in packages are provided at prices starting from AED 220 and include up to four bags regardless of the number of guests traveling.

Extra weight can also be added at 40 dirhams per piece and baggage service for a fee.

Passengers residing outside Abu Dhabi can book the home check-in service for an additional fee. Please visit etihad.com for more information on the service.
