Electric car manufacturer Tesla has now installed 25,000 fast charging points worldwide.

The company reports this on Twitter.

It is the largest network of fast charging points for electric cars worldwide.

In the Netherlands there are now about thirty fast charging locations with multiple poles.

Since the beginning of this year, the Twitter account, called Tesla Charging, keeps track of how many fast charging stations and associated charging points are being added and where.

In the past few days, stations were added in the United States, Sweden and China.

In October 2020, the Dutch fast charging company Fastned opened the largest fast charging station in Germany together with Tesla.

Tesla is continuing to build a giga factory near Berlin that could become the largest battery production site in the world.

That construction has been delayed, partly due to the waiting for permission from local authorities due to an amendment to Tesla's original license application.
