votes for and against the general strike of the nationwide courier union were passed with 77% in favor and 21% against the general strike.

The parcel delivery union held a press conference to unveil the results of the votes for and against the strike, and said that it had decided to delegate the strike time to the chairman.

In addition, out of the 6,400 members in total, the union predicted that about 2,000 members would participate in the strike, mainly those who have completed the labor committee dispute procedures.

The parcel delivery union has created a conflict with the apartment management office and residents when an apartment complex in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul banned parcel delivery vehicles from entering the ground last month.

The courier company and the representatives of apartment tenants discussed the introduction of low-floor vehicles that can enter the underground parking lot, but the union is demanding a different solution, saying that low-floor vehicles that cannot be fully extended by courier drivers can cause musculoskeletal disorders in workers.

Chairman Jin Gyeong-ho of the parcel delivery union said that the strike will be conducted mainly on creatures, which account for more than 10% of the parcel volume, and that it will put a burden on the parcel delivery company.

Chairman Jin suggested that the strike could be adjusted according to the results of the negotiations, suggesting that the strike may be withdrawn depending on the outcome of the negotiations, however, as the government is willing to arbitrate.
