During the Golden Week holidays until the 5th, the number of people who used restaurants in 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures in the Tokyo metropolitan area was 64% less than that before the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but last year when the first state of emergency was declared. Since then, a private survey has been completed that the number has more than tripled.

Toreta, an IT company in Tokyo that provides reservation and customer management systems to restaurants, is investigating the number of customers visiting about 3,000 stores in one of the three prefectures in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

According to this, the number of customers visiting the store during the Golden Week holidays from the 1st to the 5th of this month decreased by 64% from that before the spread of the new corona infection.

However, compared to last year when the first state of emergency was declared, it increased 3.4 times, a significant increase.

By the number of people, the usage of "1 to 2 people" has nearly tripled last year, accounting for half of the total.

The company surveyed said, "Although priority measures such as declaration of emergency and prevention of spread were issued, the number of cases of using it while being aware of infection countermeasures such as reducing the number of people increased, which led to a significant increase in the number of customers visiting the store. Isn't it? "
