"Since the claim filed with the administrative court has a suspensive effect, it may slow down further construction," Ernst quoted TASS as saying.

He ruled out the option in which the complaint could prevent the completion of the pipeline construction.

The head of the committee noted that all competent authorities have issued permits for the implementation of the project.

“In this regard, I see no reason why Nord Stream 2 should not be completed,” added Ernst.

Earlier it was reported that NABU had filed a lawsuit with the Hamburg Administrative Court against the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
