The UAE ranked first in the international ranking as the fastest mobile phone network in the world according to the index of "Ookla" for the first quarter of this year, which is a world leader in testing the speed of fixed broadband and mobile phone networks and analyzing the speed of downloading and sending data.

This achievement is in addition to the series of achievements made by the UAE, coinciding with the announcement of the year 2021 as the fiftieth year, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE.

And Etisalat stated, in a statement issued yesterday, that the speed of downloading data in the UAE on mobile phones reached 178.52 megabits per second in March.

The UAE also topped the rankings in January, with a download speed of 183.03 megabits per second, and February with a download speed of 177.10 megabits per second.

The Speed ​​Test Global Index monitors internet speeds in more than 135 countries on a monthly basis. This classification is based on an accurate analysis of millions of tests that customers perform monthly to verify internet speeds.

The speed of the mobile network is one of the most important factors contributing to the well-being, economic prosperity, and social communication in countries.
