The retail price of regular gasoline this week was 150.5 yen per liter on a national average, up 0.1 yen from last week.

According to the Petroleum Information Center, which is entrusted by the government to investigate gasoline prices, the retail price of regular gasoline as of the 26th was 150.5 yen per liter on a national average, an increase of 0.1 yen from last week.

The retail price of regular gasoline has risen for 18 consecutive weeks until four weeks ago due to the rise in crude oil prices due to expectations for the spread of the new coronavirus vaccine.

Although it was flat last week, it rose for the first time in two weeks due to the recent rise in crude oil prices due to expectations for economic recovery in China and the United States.

Regarding the outlook for the future, the Petroleum Information Center said, "Demand is expected to decline due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection in India and Japan, and gasoline prices are expected to level off."
