High food and beverage prices in Dubai during the second week of Ramadan

The Dubai Statistics Center stated that the food and beverage price index for the food and beverage section increased by 0.55% during the second week of Ramadan, compared to the first week of the same month.

The center stated in a report yesterday that this increase came as a result of an increase in the prices of: the vegetable group by 4.19%, the fruit group by 2.22%, the food group not classified under another item by 1.00%, the oils and fats group by 0.53%, and the meat group by 0.32%. The group of milk, cheese and eggs was 0.25%, and the group of bread and cereals and their products increased by 0.02%.
