Emirates Airlines and the Dubai Health Authority have started implementing full digital verification of medical records related to tests and vaccines "Covid-19" for travelers residing in the UAE.

A statement issued yesterday stated that Emirates Airlines who have conducted the PCR test in Dubai can now choose to make travel procedures without the need to present paper health documents related to “Covid-19”, pointing to That the records of those who received the vaccine will be digitally verified at one of the centers of the Dubai Health Authority.

Safe procedures

The statement emphasized that the new simplified verification procedures will provide the fast and safe completion of procedures for customers departing from Dubai International Airport, after which the information will be matched with the requirements of entering the destination.

According to "Emirates Airlines", it will process "Covid-19" information related only to the requirements for entering the customer's destination, in addition to processing the necessary permits for other medical cases when needed.

Once the travel procedures are completed, all information related to customer medical records will be deleted from Emirates Airlines' systems immediately.

This development comes about two months after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between "Emirates Airlines" and the Dubai Health Authority, and it is also the first of its kind between an air carrier and a government health authority.

The Emirates Airlines statement confirmed that the integration of systems makes Dubai one of the first cities in the world to apply full digital verification of travelers ’medical records related to the vaccination and testing of“ Covid-19 ”.
