He said, "For the first time, he found carrots of local origin at a price of 3.95 dirhams per kilogram, at a time when the imported price ranges between 6.30 and seven dirhams."

He added that “he bought local potatoes, for the first time as well, at a price of 2.25 dirhams per kilogram, compared to 3.50 dirhams for the importer, and he also found offers on varieties of colored pepper (red, orange, green and yellow) at prices lower than the importer at rates ranging between 20 and 30%, as well. Notice an expansion in the local meat supply, and the presence of farms that were not available before Ramadan.

Consumer Amer Ismail agreed that there is a great variety of local products offered, especially vegetables, to cover the main types that are most in demand.

He said that he “chose broccoli (the flower) from the production of Emirati farms at a price of 3.95 dirhams per kilogram, compared to a price exceeding six dirhams for the importer,” stressing that various types of organic vegetables were offered from Emirati farms at very good and sometimes reduced prices, such as green beans, tomatoes, and squash. ».

Ismail stressed that he is keen to buy local products, not only because of the price difference, but also because of their high quality and freshness.

In the same context, consumer Meera Al Shamsi said that she "prefers to buy local Emirati farm products, and looks for them directly because they are fresh, and is confident of their quality and the suitability of their prices."

She explained that «sales outlets and cooperative colleges in Abu Dhabi launched for the first time, during Ramadan, promotions such as parsley, watercress, coriander, and mint, in addition to lettuce, produced by Emirati farms, as well as offering varieties of cabbage at prices starting from 1.7 dirhams, at a time when prices start It is imported from three dirhams ».

Al Shamsi pointed out that there is a distinct local production of varieties of cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, zucchini and eggplant, as well as several varieties of organic vegetables produced by local farms, for the first time, at very good prices, such as: onions, green beans, okra and carrots.

She indicated that she also noted an increase in the supply of meat from new farms, as well as an increase in the quantities of milk and local dairy products, stressing that local products are witnessing remarkable demand.

He revealed that the "Carrefour" chain of stores increased the quantities of local meat offered during the month of Ramadan, with discounts for specific days, amid a remarkable demand for purchase, indicating that "Carrefour" gives priority to local products, to ensure that consumers get fresh, high-quality products at reasonable prices.

Begiyun confirmed that "Carrefour" supports the supply chains of food products in the country, by opening new distribution channels for more than 6000 local small and medium farms to market their products in "Carrefour" stores, in implementation of an initiative reached last year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. .

Begiyun explained that Carrefour uses its extensive network of local suppliers to support inventory and meet the growing demand throughout the month of Ramadan. The director of "Carrefour Emirates" at Majid Al Futtaim Retail Company, Philip Bajioun, affirmed the interest of "Carrefour" in providing organic products to consumers at reasonable prices, pointing to the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the largest private farm for organic farming in the country, to secure 450 tons of organic agricultural products, including More than 70 products, and six water farms were opened within several branches of "Carrefour", to enhance local production and national food security, and to contribute to preserving water and environmental resources, especially since hydroponics consumes 90% less water and space.
