China-Singapore Jingwei Client, April 21. On Tuesday, Eastern Time, the three major US stock indexes closed down for two consecutive days, and the Dow fell nearly 260 points.

Apple fell more than 1% and Tesla rose 0.61%.

  Specifically, as of the close, the Dow fell 256.33 points, or 0.75%, to 33821.30 points; the Nasdaq fell 128.50 points, or 0.92%, to 13786.27 points; the S&P 500 index fell 28.32 points, or 0.68%, to 4134.94 points.

  Most major technology stocks in the US fell. Amazon fell 1.11%, Netflix fell 0.88%, Google fell 0.47%, Facebook rose 0.14%, and Microsoft fell 0.19%.

Apple fell 1.28%. On the news, Apple held its 2021 spring conference to launch a new generation of iMac all-in-one computers, iPad Pro tablet computers and other products.

  Bank stocks fell across the board. JPMorgan Chase fell 2.23%, Goldman Sachs fell 3.29%, Citigroup fell 3.22%, Morgan Stanley fell 3.41%, Bank of America fell 2.81%, and Wells Fargo fell 3.08%.

  Energy stocks fell across the board, Exxon Mobil fell 2.11%, Chevron fell 1.86%, ConocoPhillips fell 4.4%, Schlumberger fell 4.92%, and Occidental Petroleum fell 5.44%.

  Aviation stocks fell across the board, Boeing fell 4.08%, American Airlines fell 5.48%, Delta Airlines fell 3.64%, Southwest Airlines fell 3.51%, and United Airlines fell 8.53%.

  Most popular Chinese concept stocks fell, Futu Holdings fell 23.43%, Tiger Securities fell 14.1%, Kaixin Auto fell 11.4%, 36Kr fell 9.36%, Zai Lab fell 8.25%, Pinduoduo fell 5.41%, JD fell 3.12%, Weibo fell 2.97% and Alibaba fell 2.08%.

In terms of gains, New Oriental rose 6.46%, Studio City rose 6.34%, GSX rose 4.42%, Grand New Energy rose 3.15%, and Good Future rose 3.09%.

New energy auto stocks were mixed, with Weilai Auto up 0.41%, Xiaopeng Auto up 0.16%, and Ideal Auto down 0.47%.

  In terms of European stock markets, the London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks closed at 6859.87 points, down 140.21 points or 2.00% from the previous trading day.

The CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 6165.11 points, a decrease of 131.58 points or 2.09% from the previous trading day.

The DAX index of the Frankfurt stock market in Germany fell 238.88 points, or 1.55%, to close at 15129.51 points.

  In terms of international oil prices, the New York Mercantile Exchange's May delivery West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil (WTI) futures price fell 94 cents, or 1.5%, to close at $62.44 per barrel.

May WTI futures expire after the close of trading today.

The more active June WTI futures fell 76 cents, or 1.2%, to close at $62.67 per barrel.

The price of Brent crude oil futures for June delivery on the London Intercontinental Exchange fell 48 cents, or 0.7%, to close at $66.57 per barrel.

  In terms of international gold prices, the most active June gold futures price on the New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures market rose by 7.8 U.S. dollars from the previous trading day to close at 1,788.4 U.S. dollars per ounce, an increase of 0.44%.

  As of the end of New York trading, the U.S. dollar index, which measures the U.S. dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.19% to 91.2419.
