After data analysis and review, the entry threshold for the top 50 private enterprises is 666 million yuan, an increase of 194 million yuan over the previous year. One company has an operating income of more than 10 billion yuan to 19 billion yuan, and 12 companies have an operating income of more than 2 billion yuan. There are 18 companies ranging from 1 billion to 2 billion yuan, and 20 from 500 million to 1 billion yuan.

From the perspective of the province, both the quantity and quality are gradually improving, but from the national perspective, the gap is constantly widening.

  The meeting also announced the characteristics of the top 50 private enterprises in Gansu.

In 2019, in the face of the increasingly severe economic environment at home and abroad, the province’s private enterprises took the initiative to increase technological innovation and transformation, and actively responded. Compared with the previous year, the growth rate has slowed down significantly, and it was shortlisted in the top 50 private enterprises in terms of operating income. The total amount reached 103.629 billion yuan, an increase of 6.789 billion yuan over the previous year, and the growth rate was 7.1%.

The total after-tax net profit of the top 50 private enterprises reached 6.395 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.36 billion yuan from the previous year, and the growth rate was -26.9%. The company suffered losses, with a loss of 260 million yuan.

In terms of tax payment, the total tax payment of the top 50 private enterprises in 2019 reached 5.12 billion yuan, with an average tax payment of 103 million yuan per household; in terms of employment, the number of employed persons decreased slightly compared with the previous year, with a total of 80,600 employed persons and households. A total of 1,612 people were resettled; 46 of the top 50 private enterprises in the province participated in charity donations, 43 companies participated in the province’s “thousands of enterprises to help thousands of villages” targeted poverty alleviation actions, and the top 50 companies participated in Gansu's glory in various ways. Business projects and poverty alleviation programs have made important contributions to the province’s poverty alleviation.

  The industrial structure of the top 50 private enterprises was further optimized.

In 2019, private enterprises in the province faced the downward pressure of the domestic and international economy, difficulties in financing, expensive financing, and rising operating costs, and actively upgraded and optimized their industrial structure. Among the top 50 private enterprises, 3 enterprises were engaged in primary industry agriculture, accounting for 6%, one less than the previous year; 23 companies engaged in the secondary industry, accounting for 46%, a decrease of 7 from the previous year; 24 companies engaged in the tertiary industry, accounting for 48%, an increase of 8 from the previous year; From the perspective of industry distribution, 21 companies in the manufacturing industry, accounting for 42%, 6 companies in the wholesale and retail industry, accounting for 12%, and 6 companies in the real estate industry, accounting for 12%, ranking the top three; the structure of the first, second, and third industries has been further optimized. The role of the tertiary industry in stimulating economic growth has increased significantly.

  According to the Gansu Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, the governance structure of the top 50 companies has become more standardized, promoting transformation and upgrading, and increasing cultivation efforts.

Private enterprises in Gansu promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprises and embark on the road of high-quality development by focusing on their main businesses, enhancing their core competitiveness, and achieving technological and management innovation.
