That night, GAC Group released the "Neutron Star Strategy" focusing on power battery technology, and will carry out technological innovation from three aspects: battery cells, sponge silicon negative plate battery technology and super fast charging battery technology, which will focus on solving the cruising range and charging time pain points; The BMS system escorts the battery; the battery pack will be optimized for "high safety, light weight, high integration, and low cost".
After five years of research, the "Sponge Silicon Negative Sheet Battery Technology" with nearly 50 patents can reduce the volume of lithium-ion battery cells by 20% and weight by 14%, and will further reduce the volume and weight by more than half in the future .
This technology effectively prolongs battery life and improves the reliability of lithium-ion batteries. Tested by third-party organizations, GAC AION LX equipped with sponge silicon negative plate battery technology can achieve a cruising range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
In addition, the vehicle has undergone high-temperature and high-cold tests in winter and summer, with excellent performance, safety and reliability.
Leading technology also requires successful industrialization. Next, GAC Group will launch two versions of 6C-500km and 3C-500km fast charging batteries, which are planned to be installed on GAC AION V for the first time in September this year.
Among them, the 3C super fast charging battery system has a cruising range of more than 500 kilometers. 3C high-rate fast charging can achieve a 0%-80% battery charging time of 16 minutes, and a 30%-80% battery charging time of 10 minutes. The charging experience is similar to the refueling experience.
At present, the winter standard verification has been completed, and the performance is stable, which can match the existing charging voltage platform and fast charging station.
The maximum voltage of the 6C super fast charging battery system can reach 900V (volt), the maximum charging current exceeds 500A (A), it can achieve 0%-80% battery charging time 8 minutes, 30%-80% battery charging time 5 minutes, vehicle normal temperature The 6C fast charge cycle can reach 1 million kilometers.
The 6C super fast rechargeable battery is undergoing mass production testing.
In addition, GAC Group also plans to deploy more than 100 super fast charging stations in 2021.
According to Feng Xingya, General Manager of GAC Group, GAC Group has built an open and cooperative industrial system, cooperated with Tencent to achieve WeChat on-boarding, and jointly developed L4 self-driving cars with Huawei. Mass production is planned for 2024; it also invested in Horizon and Yuexin.
