  The 300-meter-long Yuhe Bridge was built at the position of the Red Army's "First Crossing of the Long March". It was also an important bridge on the original 323 National Highway, so it was called the "First Bridge of the Long March".

  According to "Yudu County Chronicles", Yuhe Bridge was built in 1969 as a reinforced concrete bridge.

Because the bridge was built for a long time, the bridge deck has been damaged in many places, and its carrying capacity has been weakened. It is difficult to meet the needs of vehicle traffic, and it is very easy to cause safety hazards.

According to professional inspections, the bridge was judged to be a category five dangerous bridge.

Yudu County officials decided to demolish the bridge by blasting and build a modern "Qiyuan Bridge".

  According to reports, the Qiyuan Bridge project to be constructed is an important supporting municipal project for the Yudu section of the Long March National Cultural Park. The total investment of the project is about 500 million yuan. The total length of the bridge is about 480 meters, the bridge width is 40 meters, and the two-way six-lane layout is composed of The Jiangxi Branch of the General Contracting Company of China Construction Fifth Engineering Co., Ltd. undertook the construction.

It is designed as a Y-shaped continuous rigid frame composite arch bridge, with two east and west approach bridges, the west approach bridge is connected to a single horn, and the east bank approach bridge crosses the flood control embankment and then landed on the east bridge road.

At the same time, through the use of a single arch with vertical slings inside the arch and diagonal back cables outside the arch, it perfectly reflects the characteristics of the “cohesion of force” of the cable, which implies the new Long March, new development, new hope, and the Long March culture of Yudu County The "one pavilion, one courtyard" of the park project echoes.
