China News Agency, Haikou, April 8th (Reporter Huang Yi) Flight F77896, operated by Effie Airlines, took off from Haikou Meilan International Airport to Frankfurt Hahn Airport in Germany in the early morning of the 8th, marking the regular “passenger conversion” between Haikou and Frankfurt International cargo intercontinental flights were officially opened.

The flight is fixed twice a week, taking off from Haikou on Wednesday and Sunday and flying to Hahn Airport after a technical stop in Moscow.

Each week, it can add about 60 tons of air cross-border transportation capacity from Haikou to Europe, and the transported goods are mainly cross-border e-commerce goods.

Wang Zhen, chairman of HNA Airport Group, said that the Hainan Free Trade Port policy, especially the new policy for duty-free shopping on outlying islands, requires a strong logistics system.

The Haikou-Frankfurt international freight route opened this time will use Haikou as the exit point and the entry point for the return journey, bringing together the advantages of the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and other places in the convergence of cargo sources to realize the transfer and distribution of domestic and international cargo in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

As the core policy of the Hainan Free Trade Port, duty-free shopping on outlying islands has shown a fiery momentum. Since the implementation of the New Deal last year to the end of December, the actual sales (including tax) reached 32.73 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), and the average daily sales exceeded 120 million yuan. This is a year-on-year increase of more than 2 times.

Zhang Xiong, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of Hainan, said that the opening of the route will play a positive role in building an international and domestic dual-cycle development pattern and turning Hainan into an important open gateway to the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
