Al-Abbar: 6 billion dirhams in sales of Emaar during the first quarter

Mohamed Ali Al-Abbar, managing director of Emaar Properties, said that the company's sales during the first quarter of this year approached about 6 billion dirhams, despite the repercussions of the Corona pandemic.

In an interview with Al-Arabiya, Al-Abbar indicated that the company's sales during the first quarter of last year amounted to 2.5 billion dirhams.

He expressed his optimism about the current year 2021, which witnessed the beginning of the improvement after a difficult previous year due to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, noting that the numbers are promising despite the difficulties that the hotel and commercial centers sector still faces.

With regard to plans to expand abroad, Al-Abbar pointed out that Emaar is focusing on important markets such as India, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Pakistan, stressing that the UAE, Dubai in particular, is still a major center due to the growth in the emirate.
