[Look at China along the highway] Intelligent technology iteration Yangshan Phase IV "unmanned terminal" annual throughput increased by 28% year-on-year

[Explanation] East of the Pujiang River, vitality surges.

Outside the Yangtze River estuary and on the coast of the East China Sea, SIPG Yangshan Deepwater Port is like a pearl into the sea, pushing Shanghai Port from the "River Era" to the "Ocean Era".

Recently, the "Looking at China along the Expressway" theme publicity campaign came to Yangshan Port District.

More than 20 years ago, Yangshan was just a small island scattered on the East China Sea.

In February 2002, the State Council formally approved the construction of the first phase of the Yangshan Deepwater Port Area.

On June 26 of the same year, the first pile was laid for the first phase of the project and construction officially started.

Today, the first to fourth phases of Yangshan have been completed one after another.

In 2019, the Yangshan Port Area completed a container throughput of 19.808 million TEUs. In 2020, the Yangshan Port Area exceeded 20 million TEUs for the first time...Among them, Yangshan Phase IV has become the world's largest single-unit container terminal with the highest degree of intelligence. .

A total of 7 container berths will be built in the fourth phase of Yangshan, and the total coastline of the container terminal will be 2,350 meters.

Looking around, the traffic in the port area is endless, but the busy port is almost empty.

It is understood that the three major aircraft types involved in the entire loading and unloading process of the "unmanned terminal" are all made in China. With the iteration of technology, the throughput of Yangshan Phase IV has also increased year by year since it was put into use for three years.

With the continuous optimization of its (Yangshan Phase IV) operating system, including mature operations, its throughput has risen sharply.

It completed 2.01 million TEUs in 2018, 3.27 million TEUs in 2019, and 4,204,200 TEUs last year.

Even during the entire impact period of the new crown epidemic last year, the throughput of Yangshan Phase IV increased by 28% over the previous year.

This year is equivalent to saying that with the development of production, we will have more volume this year, and may reach a throughput of 5 million TEUs.

[Explanation] Except for the "unmanned terminal", the pace of intelligentization of Yangshan Port has never stopped.

The Donghai Bridge is China's first offshore bridge across the sea. The bridge is 32.5 kilometers long, connecting Shanghai Pudong New Area and Yangshan Deepwater Port, laying a solid foundation for Shanghai to become an international shipping center.

Sun Jinyu, deputy general manager of Shangdong Branch of SIPG, revealed that the Donghai Bridge smart heavy-duty truck demonstration operation project is also under commissioning, and the realization of unmanned driving from the island to the island may be just around the corner.

There are 5 cars undergoing road tests, so from our point to one (point) in Luchao Port, there is a logistics company between the two arch bridges when you come, so there is a limited amount of space between these two points. Man driving test.

Now is the test. Through the test, we constantly improve our technology to improve our kind of non-human intervention of autonomous driving.

But I believe that as society pays more and more attention to it, coupled with the improvement of technology, I think that by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", it should be possible to realize unmanned driving from the island to the island.

[Explanation] Sun Jinyu said that the mature operation of Yangshan Phase IV is a new milestone in the development of China’s port technology, marking that the Shanghai International Shipping Center represents the country’s participation in international economic cooperation and competition and has formed a new “hard core” force, leading today’s domestic The new trend of the replacement development of foreign automated container terminals.
