593 new buildings completed in Dubai during the first quarter

Data issued by Dubai Municipality and published by the Dubai Statistics Center showed that the total number of buildings completed in the emirate during the first quarter of this year reached 593 new buildings, with an average of about 179 buildings every month.

The data, of which Emirates Today obtained a copy, indicated that the new buildings were distributed among 299 buildings for “private villas”, 125 buildings for “investment villas” and 102 “multi-storey buildings”, while the number of public and industrial buildings reached 45 22 buildings.

Statistics showed that private villas topped the list of completed buildings, accounting for 50.4% of the total buildings, followed by investment villas with a share of 21.1%, then multi-storey buildings with 17.2%, followed by public buildings by 7.6%, compared to 3.7% for industrial buildings.

According to the data, the total number of buildings completed during last January reached 200, compared to 178 buildings in February, bringing the number to 215 buildings during March.

Private and investment villas accounted for 71.5% of the total number of completed buildings in Dubai, with 424 buildings.
