[The nation must rejuvenate the countryside] Zunyi, Guizhou: The new pattern of "one city and three parks" boosts the pepper industry's "hot out of the circle"

Central Broadcasting Network, Guiyang, April 3

(Reporter Li Wei) This season, the seedling operations are underway at the China Pepper City Seedling Base in Xiazi Town, Xinpu New District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province.

Technician Han Feng said that depending on the different seedling trays, 800 to 1,000 seedlings can be grown per hour, and 8000 to 10,000 seedlings can be grown and planted for 10 hours per day. Mechanized operations have greatly improved the efficiency of seeding.

"This method not only saves costs, improves efficiency, but also greatly shortens the time for seedlings and sowing." Han Feng said.

Zunyi is the country's main high-quality pepper production area, and the pepper industry has also become a local pillar industry that promotes agricultural efficiency and farmers' income.

China Chili City evolved from the development of the shrimp and chili wholesale market, and is the most important distribution center for dried chili in the country.

In 2020, driven by the Chili City of China, Zunyi's pepper planting area will reach more than 2 million mu, accounting for 40% of the pepper planting area in Guizhou Province.

In recent years, Zunyi has continued to expand the pepper planting area, centered on China Pepper City, and promoted the construction of the "world pepper processing and trade base" around the new pattern of "one city and three gardens", and established a pepper import and export trade platform.

At present, there are 123 large and medium-sized pepper processing enterprises in the city, with a processing output of 350,000 tons and an annual output value of 4 billion yuan.

Xinpu New District is one of the important pepper production bases in Zunyi City. The annual pepper planting area is stable at more than 100,000 mu.

The local interest linkage model of "company + cooperative + farmer households" has driven 14136 people from 4,479 households in poor households to plant peppers, and the per capita net income of pepper planting is more than 3,000 yuan per mu.
