Price cut!

After cherries, the price of this imported fruit has also dropped!

Even the "dried fruit" has been sold out!

As consumers' demand for imported fruits continues to increase, the prices of old high-end fruits such as mangosteen and cherries have gradually become more affordable.

Right now, it is the peak season for fruit sales, and CCTV financial reporters also rushed to visit Pingxiang, Guangxi.

The reporter visited the country's most mainland road fruit import port

The reporter came to the Friendship Pass, the largest import port of overland fruits in my country.

With the increasing demand for imported fruits, every day here is a busy scene.

It will soon be the season when a large number of durians will be marketed in Thailand, and trucks of freshly picked durians will come to everyone's table from here.

On the inspection platform after entering the country, the reporter saw that dragon fruit, durian, watermelon and other fruits were waiting for random inspection.

It is understood that in January and February, the value of imported fruits from Youyiguan Port amounted to 640 million yuan, and the total value of seasonal fresh durian and dragon fruit imports increased considerably.

The reporter noticed that the durian and watermelon unloaded from the car were all pasted with a small traceable source code. After scanning with a mobile phone, the information on the location of the orchard, the importer and the port of entry was all available.

The inspectors told reporters that the fruit peak season will be ushered in half a month, and they are now preparing for it.

The reporter learned that the busy land ports are due to the increasing demand for imported fruits on the one hand; on the other hand, the global shipping logistics is hindered, shipping prices remain high, and the logistics require more timeliness for fruits. More transportation by land.

The staff of the logistics company told reporters that since the epidemic, the land transportation rates have been stable and the timeliness is guaranteed.

As the weather changes, imported cherries are gradually withdrawn from the market, and the durian peak season is still half a month away.

So what is the most popular imported fruit on the market now?

How has the price changed?

In the largest fruit trading market in Pingxiang, Guangxi, the reporter met Yang Xiaowen, a distributor of imported fruit.

Yang Xiaowen has been in the business of importing mangoes with his parents since the 1990s.

For more than two decades, he has truly experienced the tremendous changes in the market demand for imported fruits.

Yang Xiaowen said that before selling one container (1000 boxes) a day, he couldn't sell it, but now he can easily sell ten containers a day.

Currently, online channels account for one-third of his overall sales.

After the epidemic has stabilized, online and offline sales have increased, and this year's sales have reached a new level.

Compared with the same period last year, it has doubled and there is basically no leftovers.

Yang Xiaowen told reporters that the sales volume of mangoes increased this year, but the purchase price to the sales price have decreased, and consumers and distributors can benefit.

The price of the year before last was very high. Last year's price was relatively low. This year it was stable. One kilogram was less than one yuan.

There are also dried fruit processing companies that have benefited from the changes in the volume and price of mangoes.

At the largest mango processing plant in Pingxiang, fresh dried mangoes are being bagged and boxed on a production line.

The reporter saw in the company's just-announced financial report that last year dried fruit products contributed 8.27% of the company's revenue, an increase of 86.54% year-on-year, which was the category with the largest increase.

The person in charge of the company told reporters that they now maintain a production capacity of 20 to 30 tons per day.

Hua Qing, production director of a food company in Guangxi: There are two main products, dried mango and durian.

The growth of dried mangoes was large, and sales in March of this year increased by more than 30% year-on-year.
