The CEO of the Sharjah Cooperative, Majid Salem Al-Junaid, said that “the cooperative has allocated 30 million dirhams to support the reduction of prices of more than 20 thousand food and basic consumer goods, during the campaigns for the coming month of Ramadan, with varying rates of sales in 39 outlets.”

In statements yesterday, on the sidelines of the launch of these offers, he indicated that the discount campaigns, under the name of "Flood of Good", to support basic Ramadan commodities, include four offers throughout the month, in addition to the offers that will start a week before the holy month, with a reduction of 90%. On all basic consumer products, in addition to the Eid Al Fitr offers, the total promotional offers for this month will reach six.

Al-Junaid added that “(the cooperative) launched four types of Ramadan baskets for this year, the prices of which ranged between 99 and 399 dirhams, with discounts of approximately 50%, and include basic commodities, such as: rice, sugar, flour, oils and juices.” He explained that “(the cooperative) worked within Early preparation plans for the month of Ramadan, to provide sufficient stocks of food commodities that will be offered as part of the Ramadan offers.

He added that “(Tawuniya) expects an increase in purchasing traffic by 50%, due to the multiplicity of shopping methods, between online shopping and via (WhatsApp for Business),” pointing out that it was keen on making the branches ready to receive shoppers during Ramadan.

He pointed out that "(the cooperative) began to reduce the prices of 15 thousand products, and will continue throughout 2021, by an amount of 25 million, as part of its strategy to reduce prices for shoppers."

He stated that "(the cooperative) gives the owners of local farms special support in marketing their products, especially during the month of Ramadan, giving priority to displaying national projects, exempting them from registration fees, and providing special vehicles to transport crops at the expense of the" cooperative ".
