[Explanation] On April 1, with the laying machine of China Railway No. 1 Bureau slowly laying 500-meter-long rails to Ning'er Station, the China section of the China-Laos Railway was building the Yuxi-Mohan Railway for half of the track laying task, which will be opened by the end of this year. Operations laid the foundation.

[Explanation] The Yuxi-Mohan Railway starts from Yuxi, Yunnan in the north, passes through Pu'er, Xishuangbanna, and finally arrives at Mohan, the border port between China and Laos. The main line is 508 kilometers long.

Since Yuxi to Jinghong is a double line, and Jinghong to Mohan is a single line, the main line needs to be laid for 863 kilometers and the station line is for 129 kilometers.

Today, we laid the track and arrived at Ning'er Station, connecting the two track laying bases of Yuxi and Ning'er, opening up channels for rail material transportation and providing strong support for speeding up track laying.

[Explanation] In April 2020, the Yuxi-Mohan section began to lay the track. Due to the constraints of the construction of control projects such as bridges and tunnels, the laying and erection construction was affected to a certain extent.

All parties involved in the construction plan ahead, concentrate their efforts, accurately solve the problem, adjust the laying and construction group three times, strengthen the allocation of resources, increase the investment of personnel and equipment, and organize the storage of materials such as ballasts and long rails in advance.

Under the circumstances of tight schedule, heavy tasks and high quality requirements, our more than 700 employees stick to their posts, fighting on the front line of construction day and night, and coordinate the normalized epidemic prevention and control and construction organization to ensure the smooth progress of the laying.

[Explanation] At present, the whole line has completed the main track laying of 500 kilometers, the station line laying of 70 kilometers, the average daily track laying is 5 kilometers, and the goal of achieving more than half of the track laying task is expected to be completed by the end of June.

[Explanation] It is reported that as of March, 93 tunnels of the Yuxi-Mohan Railway have penetrated 91, and the construction period of the remaining two tunnels is within controllable range.

More than 99% of the roadbed, bridge, and tunnel projects were completed respectively.

The China-Laos Railway is more than 1,000 kilometers long and is a docking project between China's "One Belt One Road" initiative and Laos' strategy of "turning a land-locked country into a land-union country".

After the completion and opening to traffic, direct transportation from Kunming, China to Vientiane, Laos is expected to be realized on the same day.
