With new functions, it should clean the entire apartment even better and faster.
On top of that, the manufacturer has pimped up the wiping function.
The Roborock S7 is supposed to scrub more thoroughly than many other smart cleaning aids.
The “Computer Bild” test shows how well all of this works.

The new vacuum and mopping combination from Roborock has a lot to offer.

After a few trial rounds to get to know the premises, the S7 had to prove its cleaning skills.
The bait: 100 grams of dirt, consisting of 70 grams of cat litter, 20 grams of muesli and ten grams of wood shavings.
The device had to repeatedly show how much of the mixture it spreads from the carpet and laminate floor.
The result was impressive: with a substantial 91.2 grams, the device read almost everything.
This worked just as well on the smooth flooring as it did on the carpet.
The rubber roller combed it neatly and tickled a lot of dirt out of the fibers.
Not only on the surfaces, but also around table legs, hardly anything remained.
On top of that, the smart helper conscientiously took care of the edges and corners of the rooms.
Out of 20 corn kernels laid out, the S7 collected twelve - quite an achievement!
This is how smart the Roborock S7 cleans
A laser sits in a small "observation tower" on top of the device, which looks far into the rooms with a range of several meters and is intended to ensure that the vacuum cleaner always knows where to go.
The cleaning work is accompanied by the Roborock app for iOS and Android.

The app shows a virtual map after the first tour.

With Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant and Siri shortcuts, the vacuum cleaner can be sent on demand.
Practical: Depending on the surface, the S7 automatically adjusts the suction power - more powerful on deep carpeting, more restrained on the smooth surface.
The tried and tested obstacle detection of the Roborock S6 MaxV, which confidently discovered objects of all kinds in the test and ignored them, is missing in the S7.
The S7 is a real mopping talent
The new top vacuum from Roborock comes with new wiping technology.
The smart cleaning aid wants to scrub the floor with sound vibrations ("sonic mopping") - up to 3000 swivel movements per minute make this possible.
The idea is not new: The test winner in the large “Computer Bild” comparison of smart cleaning aids, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 Aivi, also comes with a special water tank including a water pump and vibrating plate.
The Roborock also went to work with courage, so that instead of “stroking the floor”, a decent scrubbing was the order of the day.
Unique to the S7 is the new auto-lifting technology called "Vibra Rise".
This lifts the mopping plate automatically as soon as the device approaches the carpet.
The two centimeters of space gained between the floor and mopping mat are enough for short fibers, but not for the fluffy flokati carpet.

Nevertheless, it stays pleasantly dry because the S7 also stops the flow of water.
This ensures perfectly fitting and seamless cleaning tours in rooms with different floor coverings.

Conclusion:
With the Roborock S7 you will succeed in excellent cleaning tours!
It navigates quickly and accurately through the rooms and collects a lot of dirt.
Above all, the new wiping function, which lifts the mopping plate when driving over the carpet, shone.
Alexa and app control make it smart, only the obstacle detection, which works flawlessly in the predecessor S6 MaxV, is not on board. If you want to wipe a lot and create a little order before cleaning, the Roborock S7 is still spot on.
Price and availability
The new Roborock normally costs 549 euros.
Black and white are available as colors.
So far, the S7 has only been available on the Chinese sales platform Aliexpress.
