The supply plans of each electric power company for the next 10 years have been finalized, and in February next year, the "reserve ratio", which indicates the surplus supply capacity within the jurisdiction of TEPCO to Kyushu Electric Power, is expected to fall below 8%, which is a guideline for stable supply.

The OCCTO, which regulates the supply and demand of electricity nationwide, cannot deny the possibility that the supply and demand will be tight due to large-scale troubles, etc. I am.

According to this, in February next year, the "reserve ratio", which indicates the surplus power supply capacity for demand within the jurisdiction of Tokyo Electric Power, Chubu Electric Power, Hokuriku Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Shikoku Electric Power, and Kyushu Electric Power, will be stable at 5.8%. It is expected to be below 8%, which is a guideline for supply.

Also, in July next year, it is expected to be 6.8% within the jurisdiction of TEPCO and 7.1% within the jurisdiction of Chubu Electric Power to Shikoku Electric Power.

This is because while the restart of nuclear power plants has not progressed, 4.95 million kilowatts, which is equivalent to five large-scale thermal power plants, will be suspended or abolished due to aging of the main thermal power plants.

For this reason, the OCCTO has decided to ask each company to take measures such as shifting the repair time of thermal power plants, as it cannot be denied that the supply and demand may be tight due to large-scale troubles.
