21 locations in Geumcheon, Dobong, Yeongdeungpo, and Eunpyeong were selected as the first candidates for the urban public housing complex project.

In Geumcheon-gu, the Gasan Digital Complex station area was selected, and in Dobong-gu, 7 locations were selected, including the vacation station area and Chang-dong completed industrial area.

In Yeongdeungpo-gu, four were included, including the Yeongdeungpo station area and the low-rise residential area in Singil-dong, and 9 in Eunpyeong-gu, including the Yeonshin-nae station area.

These candidate sites will be designated as planned districts around July with the consent of more than 10% of the land owners, and the project will be confirmed if more than two-thirds of the land owners agree within one year of the planned district.

When the project is completed in these 21 locations, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport predicted that 25,000 households would be supplied.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport predicted that the number of households will increase by 341 households and the income of land owners will increase by 30 percentage points compared to when private development was promoted by easing regulations and the rate of accepting donations in these 21 sites.

The urban public housing complex project is a core policy of the 2nd and 4th supply measures led by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum, and includes the contents of increasing supply by developing aging station areas, semi-industrial areas, and low-rise residential areas with the public initiative.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to block speculation by investigating unusual transactions in areas designated as planned districts.

In addition, we plan to select and announce additional candidates several times by July.
