To conduct quality supervision and spot checks on certain types of products, testing agencies generally choose when such products are selling well, and a certain procedure is required from the beginning of sampling to the results, so the time for the final spot check results will be wrong. , But it is necessary to provide consumers with reliable quality information at any time.

Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau announced the results of the supervision and random inspection of winter products.

The inspector said that one of the children's down jackets was the worst quality down jacket she had ever seen since her career.

Shoddy, the failure rate of down jackets and scarves seriously exceeds the standard

The Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Administration recently conducted random inspections on winter products such as down jackets, duvets, scarves, cotton jackets, jackets and cashmere sweaters, and found that the quality of down products’ fillings and the fiber content of clothing fabrics were shoddy , Is the main quality problem of substandard products.

Guo Liang, deputy director of the Supervision Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau: In

this supervision and spot check, our Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau spot-checked 350 batches of winter clothing in six categories, including down jackets and duvets. A total of 43 batches were found to be unqualified. The qualified discovery rate was 12.3%.

The reporter noticed that down jackets and duvets were the focus of this supervision and spot check. A total of 185 batches were spot-checked, accounting for more than half of the 350 batches.

Among them, 45 batches of down duvets were spot-checked by Nanjing Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute and Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute; 80 batches of adult down jackets were spot-checked, and 60 batches of children's down jackets were spot-checked by Changzhou Fiber Inspection Institute and Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute. The Inspection Institute and Dajiali (Taicang) Quality and Technical Testing Center and other institutions jointly tested.

Jiang Wenliang, a senior engineer of the Dajiali (Taicang) Quality and Technical Inspection Center:

This adult down jacket is marked with 134 grams of down filled. Our actual test found that it was only 90 grams, which is nearly one-third less. According to the national standards for down jackets, Only 5% deviation is allowed. This kind of shortcoming is a serious failure.

The filling in the down jacket is not down at all

The reporter saw at the inspection site that some down jackets not only have serious deviations in the amount of down, but also that some fillings are not real down at all.

Jiang Wenliang, a senior engineer of the Dajiali (Taicang) Quality and Technical Inspection Center: The

national standard stipulates that the filling of down jackets is mainly formed by the piles of piles with the core structure. This pile of piles is piled together. It can gather more air. We know that the air is hot, and down jackets made of velvet have good thermal performance.

Our inspection found that the filling of this down jacket is mainly feathers, not fleece with a core structure.

We know that this feather silk is mainly formed by smashing feathers, and its warmth retention is very poor.

This kind of down with a "down core" structure is the real down.

Down jackets filled with velvet have good warmth retention.

National standards stipulate that the main filling of down jackets is not only required to be velvet, but also the proportion of velvet, that is, the amount of velvet.

Jiang Wenliang, senior engineer of the Dajiali (Taicang) Quality and Technical Inspection Center:

This children's down jacket has a marked down content of 90%. After testing, we found that the down content is 3.3%, which is nearly 30 times the false standard.

According to the national down jacket standard, only 3% of down content deviation is allowed. This is a serious failure. Strictly speaking, this piece of clothing cannot be considered a down jacket because the down jacket standard requires at least 50% down.

Inspector: This is the worst down jacket I have ever seen since my career

The reporter observed that in this random inspection, the quality of unqualified children's down jackets was even more worrying.

It is not uncommon that the down content cannot reach more than 50% of the national standard and cannot be regarded as a sample of down jacket.

Purchased from an e-commerce platform, this thickened children's down jacket is labeled "Yukati". The clothes expressly contain 80% white duck down. The store claims that "our inner feathers are different", and the main feature is "softness and warmth". However, the inspector told reporters that this is the worst down jacket she has ever seen since her career.

Chen Hua, assistant engineer of the Inspection Department of Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute:

Its label, its down content is 80% white duck, but in fact, we got it only 1.7% down content, then it is actually all this The silk that has fallen from the feathers. Normally, our down should be like this kind of down and very big, and then it can isolate the air and keep it warm. This is almost the worst down jacket I have ever tested in the industry.

Keep your eyes open, these brands are unqualified

After testing, 8 batches of adult down jackets were unqualified, including samples labeled as Xuezhongfei, Rongmei, Ailangshi, and Bingjie.

11 batches of children's down jackets were unqualified, including the brand called Youkati, the brand called Gumi Xiong, the brand called "Mianxiaoban", and the brand called "Little Seaman".

In a further interview, the reporter found that the nominal filling of the duvets purchased from the e-commerce platform during the supervision and spot check was completely different from the actual filling.

Qian Weiwei, Senior Engineer of Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute:

This quilt is said to be 100% goose down quilt. Actually, through our inspection, there is no goose down inside.

After testing, this duvet, which was purchased from the live broadcast platform and is called "Shanghai Yiting Textile Technology Co., Ltd.", has four indicators that are unqualified, including fiber content, down content, duck down content and bulkiness, etc. In other words, its fabrics and fillers are not up to standard.

Qian Weiwei, a senior engineer of Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute:

According to its tag, its fabric is 100% cotton, but we tested that its cotton content is only 57%, and the rest are polyester fibers.

Its nominal velvet content is 95%, but we detected only 7.8% velvet content, which is less than one-tenth of it. Strictly speaking, this quilt is not even a duvet because of the national standard. It is required that the down content must be greater than or equal to 50% before it can be called a duvet.

The reporter saw that this velvet content was only 7.8%, and it could not be called a sample of duvet. Its packaging was printed with words such as "private customization" and "high-end quilt manufacturing expert", and the product label was clearly stated as "Supreme White". "Goose down quilt", the fabric is high-count and high-density cotton, the filling is 95% white goose down, and it even provides a look of down filling.

Qian Weiwei, Senior Engineer of Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute:

This quilt, which looks like this to consumers, looks pretty good velvet, but in fact, most of the fillings in this quilt are of this kind. Crushed plush.

  Reporter: No flowers.

Qian Weiwei, Senior Engineer of Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute: No flowers, our inspectors have itchy skin during the inspection process. Not only does this kind of filler have poor thermal insulation performance, but consumers may cause it if they are covered on their bodies. Itchy skin, rhinitis, or irritation of the respiratory tract.

However, when the reporter looked through the test report, he noticed that the product name of this quilt that made the tester’s skin itchy was "elegant antibacterial white goose down quilt."

Qian Weiwei, Senior Engineer of Nantong Fiber Inspection Institute: According to our usual supervision and spot checks and commissioned inspections, most of the unqualified cases of this type of duvet appear on e-commerce platforms, which usually attract consumers through price wars.

For example, the retail price of this quilt is 4580, and it is sold to consumers at 980. However, according to its actual situation, the cost price of this quilt may be only about 100 yuan, but it still sold for 980 yuan. , The profit is still great.

According to the nominal quality of this quilt, the cost of this quilt will be more than 1,500 yuan.

Three core indicators determine the quality of down

The reporter noticed that for unqualified down jackets, mainly the down content, down content, down filling and other items did not meet the national standard requirements.

The core of these three indicators is the quality and content of down.

Jiang Wenliang, senior engineer of the Dajiali (Taicang) Quality and Technical Inspection Center:

According to our understanding, the price of goose down in down is relatively high. Pure goose down is about 680,000 yuan per ton, and 90% of goose down is about 630,000 yuan per ton. Duck down is about 400,000 yuan per ton, 90% of duck down is about 300,000 yuan per ton, feathers are about 60,000 to 70,000 yuan per ton, and feathers are about 6,000 to 7,000 yuan per ton.

In other words, goose down has a larger velvet than duck down, and the bulkiness and warmth retention of goose down are better.

Generally speaking, pure goose down has the highest price, which is about 1.7 times that of pure duck down, 10 times that of feather silk, and 100 times that of feathers.

The reporter observed that in this supervision and spot check, some production companies marked raw materials as “shoddy”, which is the main quality problem of substandard products.

Zhang Dandan, an engineer from the Inspection Department of Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute:

This scarf shows 96% wool on its tag, but our actual measurement shows that it is 100% polyester fiber, that is, 100% polyester, and there is no wool in it.

After testing 40 batches of scarves by Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute and Shenzhen Yingbo Testing Technology Co., Ltd., they found that when labeling the fiber content of unqualified products, most of them falsely label some cheap chemical fiber components as wool or cashmere. Higher-priced raw materials.

This scarf is marked with 50% wool and cashmere. The reporter saw the test results but showed that it has no cashmere at all. The so-called "cashmere" is actually "polyester fiber", that is, polyester.

This unqualified scarf was purchased from the e-commerce platform Sevenwolves flagship store. The reporter saw that in the product details introduction of this online store, the merchant showed consumers a qualified test report.

Wei Hong, Senior Engineer of the Inspection Department of Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute:

It provides a quality inspection report, including quality inspections on color fastness to water, color fastness to perspiration, and color fastness to dry rubbing, but there is no product standard. As well as the national mandatory standards for formaldehyde, pH, azo, fiber content and other items for quality inspection, it can be seen that this quality inspection report is not complete, but this time our supervision and random inspection process found that its fiber content items Unqualified.

After testing, the unqualified scarves included 10 batches of scarves that were labeled as Sevenwolves, labeled as Leiguobao, and labeled as Bairuiou.

The test results of 50 batches of cotton clothing by Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute and Changzhou Fiber Inspection Institute show that manufacturers randomly label the fiber content of clothing, which is another quality problem for substandard products.

It is understood that fiber content is an important reference index for consumers to buy clothes. It is related to the wearing experience and performance of consumers, and it is also closely related to the washing requirements and methods of clothes.

Chen Fei, an engineer of Changzhou Fiber Inspection Institute:

Like this one, it is marked with 100% polyester fiber, but in fact, we tested it to be 100% nylon.

Like this one, it is marked with viscose, but we actually detected that it is nylon. Viscose has good moisture absorption, but nylon is a relatively good fiber with relatively good wear resistance. It is often used in clothing such as socks.

Like this one, the fabric is marked with spandex, but our actual test is 100% polyester fiber, spandex is a kind of elastic fiber.

The inspectors believe that this indicator is unqualified, mainly because the quality awareness of the manufacturer is weak.

Chen Fei, an engineer of Changzhou Fiber Inspection Institute: Some companies do not conduct inspections on fabrics before entering the factory, and some companies do not conduct qualified inspections before leaving the factory. Some companies have weak quality awareness and do not mark them in accordance with the standards.

After testing, the unqualified cotton clothing includes 10 batches of the brand named VERO MODA, Hengyuanxiang brand, and Ziyixiu brand.

When the reporter combed through the list of unqualified products, it was found that many well-known brand products were found to be unqualified in this supervision and random inspection: including the "Xuezhongfei" brand adult down jacket produced by Xuezhongfei Industrial Co., Ltd., which was tested and contained down. The three indicators, namely the amount of velvet, the content of velvet and the bulkiness, are unqualified; the "seven wolves" brand scarf produced by Tongxiang Zhuoma Garment Co., Ltd. has unqualified fiber composition; the product is produced by Lingzhi Fashion (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. "VERO MODA Wishaman" brand cotton clothing, the fiber content is unqualified.

Build quality cannot rely on "imagination"

Building quality is not based on imagination, but based on realism.

I just saw that there is a big difference between the nominal and actual winter products. Some false labels contain 100% goose feathers and 98% wool. There is no goose feather or wool in them. Some are also labeled as private, high-end, and supreme. Words, but where is the real quality?

The supervision and spot check also conducted a special spot check on the live broadcast platform based on the hot spots of consumer complaints.

During the interview, the reporter also found that there were more than 10 e-commerce platforms that supervised and sampled purchases, including JD.com, Tmall, Suning.com, Vipshop, Xiaomi Youpin, Taobao Live, Tmall Live, Douyin, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu and so on.

It is understood that this is the first time that the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau has conducted spot checks on live broadcast platforms based on consumer complaints.

Guo Liang, deputy director of the Supervision Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau: The

live broadcast platform randomly checked 141 batches and found 20 batches of unqualified. The unqualified detection rate was 14.2%.

Judging from the overall situation of the live broadcast platform spot check, the first one we found that the live broadcast platform’s spot check pass rate is lower than the entire e-commerce spot check pass rate; the second we found that some live broadcasters on the live broadcast platform compare their quality awareness Weakness, not having the quality of their own products, or the products sold are not quality-checked, so the phenomenon of some "three noes", fakes and inferior products still exists.

During the investigation, the reporter saw that during the supervision and spot check, a number of testing agencies bought samples on the live broadcast platform, and when they actually received the goods, some of them were three-no products.

Li Qing, assistant engineer of Jiangsu Outdoor Center of Nanjing Quality Inspection Institute: When

we purchased samples in Binbin Home Textiles live studio, the anchor declared that this quilt contains 95% white goose down. We placed an order and purchased two duvets, and we actually received them. The sample is a three-no product without manufacturer information and no tag.

It is understood that in this spot check of duvets, Nanjing Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute plans to buy 25 batches of samples, and only 4 batches of samples purchased on a live broadcast platform of an e-commerce company are three-no products.

Yan Yan, Senior Engineer, Jiangsu Outdoor Center, Nanjing Institute of Quality Supervision, Inspection:

There are 4 batches of samples sampled on the live platform that are three-no products, none of which are marked with the name of the factory or address, and some are not marked with the content of velvet, and some of the standards used It is not a standard for duvets. These samples do not meet the requirements of our supervision and spot checks and can only be returned.

The reporter learned from the investigation that in this supervision and random inspection, the three no products received by the testing agency came from the e-commerce live broadcast platform, and the categories included duvets, down jackets, scarves, jackets, etc. In this regard, the market supervision department said that they would Intensify the supervision of such sales channels and platforms.

Guo Liang, deputy director of the Supervision Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau: In the

next step, our Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau will continue to strengthen supervision and spot checks in the field of e-commerce, especially in the field of live broadcasting, and resolutely crack down on some sales of fake and inferior products. Sales behaviors and stores provide our consumers with a fair and just consumption environment.

With live delivery of goods, consumers can hear and see the introduction of the product more directly. It seems that they will have more trust. Unexpectedly, this supervision and spot check found that the three no products are all from the e-commerce live broadcast platform.

According to industry insiders, consumers cannot distinguish the inherent quality of down products, and down products are prone to become the hardest hit areas for adulteration.

In fact, whether it is online consumption in live streaming or offline consumption in physical stores, the only thing that has changed is the difference in buying and selling methods. What cannot be changed is that the bottom line of integrity and quality cannot be crossed, and the rights and interests of consumers cannot be arbitrarily changed. Violated.
