Officials of sales outlets and cooperatives in the country stated that "Ramadan baskets" will be offered in the branches of the outlets and associations, early next month, indicating that applications for the work of "baskets" have begun to be received from some authorities.

They explained to "Emirates Today" that Ramadan will witness an expansion of the implementation of the "baskets" according to the request of the various authorities, so that they do not include fixed items, and the number and types of goods in the "basket" will vary according to the requests and needs of each party.

In detail, the Deputy Director of the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society for Operations, Abdullah Eid, said that “(the association) will offer in its various branches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in early April, on the occasion of the imminent arrival of the month of Ramadan, two baskets for Ramadan goods: the first at 99.9 dirhams, and the second at 199 dirhams. , And they include the main commodities that are frequently consumed in Ramadan, such as oil, rice, pasta, sugar, dates, vimito, moon el-din, etc., indicating that the price difference between the two baskets depends on the brands and the number of commodities in each basket.

Al-Khaja explained that the Ramadan basket during the current year will mainly include sugar, flour, basmati rice, femto, sunflower oil, dates, tomato sauce, pasta and fava beans, noting that the “association” begins receiving orders for baskets to different parties more than a week before Ramadan, to avoid delays in their delivery.
