From mid-March to the end of May, the Hainan Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, together with a number of financial institutions, airlines, new media, and OTA (online travel agencies), jointly carried out joint promotion activities. Recently, the daily flight volume of Meilan Airport has begun to show a positive increase compared with the same period in 2019 before the epidemic, and the daily passenger flow has recovered to about 95%.
