The number of flat-panel TVs shipped domestically in February increased by 47.5% from the same month last year, a significant increase.

The main reason for this is that the state of emergency for the new coronavirus has been declared again and the so-called "demand for nesting" has increased.

According to the summary of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, the number of flat-panel TVs shipped in Japan last month was 465,000, 47.5% higher than the same month last year.

Following the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the state of emergency was reissued in January, and the number of people refraining from going out has increased, which seems to be the main reason for the increase in so-called nesting demand.

The number of flat-panel TVs shipped has exceeded the previous year's level for 11 consecutive months since April last year due to rising demand for nesting and a flat payment of 100,000 yen in cash, and sales have continued to be strong.
