Keidanren has decided to strengthen its efforts, such as supporting the development of executive personnel, with the aim of increasing the percentage of female executives in corporate executives to 30% or more by 2030.

In the long-term vision formulated last year, Keidanren has set a numerical target for the first time, aiming to increase the percentage of female executives to 30% or more.

To achieve this goal, we have decided to start a new initiative called "Challenge to 30% in 2030" with 53 Keidanren member companies.

Specifically, from hiring women to training executives, we will enhance seamless support programs according to career advancement, and call on companies to reform into an organization that can maximize their abilities regardless of gender. We would like to accelerate our efforts.

According to the Cabinet Office, the percentage of female executives in listed companies was only 6.2% as of July last year, and the current situation is that the appointment of female executives is delayed compared to Europe and the United States.

Yasuyoshi Karasawa, chairman of the Keidanren Diversity Promotion Committee, said, "If we do not promote diversity, innovation will not progress and we will not be able to win international competition. We want to create a movement to achieve our goals by setting high goals." ..
