The Leroy Merlin group is seeking to fill 2,000 positions for students, of which nearly 200 are on a work-study basis.

Thomas Bouret, the general manager of the home and DIY brand, detailed these offers, all in CDI, Monday, in the program "La France Bouge" on Europe 1.

The coronavirus crisis has enabled certain companies to perform well. This is particularly the case of Leroy Merlin, which continued to grow despite the pandemic.

"In 2020, we had 2,500 jobs created on permanent contracts, including 400 newly created positions. We had a relatively low turnover compared to the average for our sector, so it's real growth" , explained Thomas Bouret, general manager of the sign specializing in habitat, Monday, in the program

And the year 2021 also looks promising, with in particular nearly 2,000 positions to be filled for students.

Thomas Bouret detailed these offers on our antenna. 

CDI contracts, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for students 

"In 2021, we are recruiting more than 400 people to cover all of our classic activity", explained the CEO of Leroy Merlin.

"Summer is coming and we will also need seasonal workers. We are looking for student jobs, we have 2,000 positions to be filled for students, including nearly 200 in work-study programs," he continued.

In detail, "all these positions are on permanent contracts" and concern "contracts from 9 am to 6 pm for students" who will be hired.

Leroy Merlin, which intends to operate its digital transformation, will also recruit in this area.

"We also have 500 positions to fill in the next two years in data, digital and

supply chain

to support the digital transformation of the company. This is at the level of the major digital platforms of our sector ", assured Thomas Bouret.
