National Bureau of Statistics: Consumer prices in February fell 0.2% year-on-year

Data show that in February 2021, the national consumer prices fell by 0.2% year-on-year.

Among them, the city fell by 0.2%, rural areas fell by 0.1%; food prices fell by 0.2%, non-food prices fell by 0.2%; consumer goods prices fell by 0.3%, and service prices fell by 0.1%.

On average from January to February, national consumer prices fell by 0.3% compared with the same period last year.

　　In February, the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol rose by 0.3% year-on-year, affecting the CPI (Consumer Price Index) by about 0.09 percentage points.

In food, the price of aquatic products rose by 5.9%, affecting the increase of CPI by about 0.11%; the price of fresh vegetables rose by 3.3%, affecting the increase of CPI by about 0.08%; the price of fresh fruits rose by 3.1%, affecting the increase of CPI by about 0.06%; egg prices An increase of 3.0% will affect the CPI increase by about 0.02%; the price of food will increase by 1.4%, which will affect the CPI increase by about 0.02%; the price of livestock and meat will drop by 7.3%, which will affect the CPI by about 0.34%, of which the price of pork will drop by 14.9%, which will affect the CPI.
