Amazon founder Jeff Bezos wants to spend the ten billion dollars he has put into a foundation by 2030.

The new managing director of the Bezos Earth Fund, Andrew Steer, announced on Tuesday on Twitter.

"The Earth Fund will invest in scientists, NGOs, activists and the private sector to help fuel new technology, investment, policy change and behavior," Steer tweeted.

Little had been revealed so far about how the Foundation plans to address climate change.

Bezos announced the foundation in February 2020.

With his donation of ten billion dollars last year, Bezos was the most donated to charity in a ranking of 50 Americans, according to the newspaper "The Chronicle of Philanthropy".

Bezos announced on Instagram that he was pleased that Steer was working on the foundation.

Bezos announced in February that he was stepping down as Amazon CEO to focus on charitable and scientific interests.
