  As of the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Index rose 306.14 points, or 0.97%, to 31802.44 points; the Nasdaq index fell 310.99 points, or 2.41%, to 12,609.16 points; the S&P 500 index fell 20.59 points, or 0.54%, to 3,821.35 points .

  Major US technology stocks fell across the board. Apple fell 4.17%, Amazon fell 1.62%, Netflix fell 4.47%, Google fell 4.27%, Facebook fell 3.39%, and Microsoft fell 1.82%.

  US banking stocks rose collectively, with JPMorgan Chase up 1.27%, Goldman Sachs up 2.17%, Citigroup up 2.81%, Morgan Stanley up 0.19%, Bank of America up 0.68%, and Wells Fargo up 3.21%.

  American Airlines stocks rose collectively, with Boeing up 0.24%, American Airlines up 4.99%, Delta Air Lines up 3.57%, Southwest Airlines up 6.39%, and United Airlines up 7.01%.

  Most popular Chinese concept stocks fell. Bilibili fell 17.04%, MINISO fell 14.38%, Tiger Securities fell 13.52%, Autohome fell 12.52%, Xinyang fell 12.48%, Baidu fell 11.1%, and Alibaba fell 11.1%. 3.04%, Jingdong fell 5.8%.

In terms of growth, Renren rose 13.06%, AMTD International rose 9.38%, and Youxin rose 6.54%.

New energy auto stocks fell across the board, Weilai Automobile fell 7.64%, Xiaopeng Automobile fell 3.96%, and Ideal Automobile fell 5.03%.

  European stock markets: The London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks on the 8th closed at 6,79.13 points, an increase of 1.34%; the other two major European stock indexes, the French Paris stock market CAC40 index closed at 5,902.99 points, an increase of 2.08 %; Germany's Frankfurt stock market DAX index closed at 14,380.91 points, an increase of 3.31%.
