In its monthly counter, published Friday March 5, Airbus announces that it has recorded 11 aircraft orders in February: 10 A320neo, bought by a mystery shopper, and a military transport A330.
The sales counter, blocked since November, is therefore starting again for the European aircraft manufacturer hard hit by the impressive drop in air traffic since the start of the health crisis and faced in turn with the reluctance and difficulties of airlines.
To cope, the manufacturer had announced the elimination of 15,000 jobs around the world.
But he said Thursday that this savings plan would be done without resorting to dry layoffs in the most affected countries such as France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
In addition, even if the rates have been reduced, the order book remains well stocked, at more than 7,000 aircraft and the assembly lines continue to operate.
In February, Airbus handed over 32 planes to 20 different companies, including 29 A320s, bringing the number of deliveries since the start of the year to 53.
